Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

A Poem by R.Guy Behringer
"

One friend saying goodbye to another.

"
I see you age and it makes me sad.
Your sight has dimmed and your breath is bad.
You're going deaf and forget to eat.
Often times I just watch you sleep.
You look confused when the door bell rings.
You're startled these days by many things.
If this is the end, I just wanna thank you
for being my friend.
I love you.

Beautifully written tribute. The honest & unquestioned love of a dog, the bond, that even in death, stands the test of time. A loyalty like no other deserves such a loving poem. Well done!
