There is a time/ when all's asleep

There is a time/ when all's asleep

A Poem by implicit

There is a time
When all's asleep
The grass, the sky
The walls, the street

There is a time when all's asleep
All but the river, wind, and me

That can be some of my favorite times, it's so quiet and peaceful, sometimes even a little bit eerie but not necessarily in a bad way. It's such an interesting feeling being the only one awake. You didn't use a whole lot of words, but you created the scene amazingly well. I enjoyed reading this.

Implicit,
Now, that is a tight little bit of imagery! My first thought was of when I lived on a farm, two miles down a dead-end, dirt road with no traffic, and how everything and everyone woke up if a single car passed by... I am in love with poetry for all kinds of reasons, but especially its power to transport a reader in time and place.
