The Bone Dance

The Bone Dance

A Poem by Rdmarie
"

A silly little poem

"

Tap tap tap tap

Tap tap tap tap

Tap tap tap tap

Tap

Feel the rhythm of your toes upon the floor

Tap tap tap

One-two-three-four

All your limbs begin to squirm in equal form

Tap tap tap

And then you start to feel it up your legs

Past the crevasses and winding or your pores

Tap tap tap

An itch that reaches nearly to your core

Where the muscles and the veins dare to explore

Tap tap tap

One by one you feel a crickle cruckle crack

Every nerve is nearly rising in uproar

Tap tap tap

You can’t stop the jitter and the back and forth

From your bones hangs greasy skin just like décor

Tap tap tap

And soon it too is sliding to the floor

Where your nails and eyes and teeth sit in galore

Tap tap tap

Your skeleton remains on your behalf

Tap tap tap

And snap snap snap you fall in half
