A Poem by revalatia

We invite you to participate
in a clinical trial
of 3 monitored doses of faultless denial

An experimental treatment
to enhance what is real
is being developed
to control what you feel

Side effects vary
and are generally mild
symptoms include: itching, and screaming
and putrid green bile.

If you would like us to help
and prescribe you a smile,
Just surrender yourself
while we tinker awhile.

I work in the mental health industry and this poem ressonated with my experience of what it does to people. Well written and appropriate non forced rhymes.

thank you
Full of surprises that made me wake up. This was accomplished through the use of a well known 'voice' to deliver a completely unexpected message.

We will think like cattle munching grass unless challenged. Your poem removed the chlorophyll and replaced it with mystery and surprise.

You get an A+ for resurrecting thought process. Nice work.

Very, very, clever. Your rhymes are perfect too. At first I thought I was being fooled by one of those ads that appear here constantly.Glad to see an excellent poem by a real writer instead. Great job.
