That Summer

That Summer

A Poem by Robert Filos

Who thought that all this time could pass
and we would still remember those days
Do you know why some times are special

and others just fade

Riding in that Chevy morning, noon, and night
listening to the notes of our youth
Seagull and Musta' Got Lost

our very own teen parade

We loved the back shore, and Good Harbor beach
drank way too many Seven and Sevens
and last call at Nick's roast Beef

lifetime memories made
