Rats on the Chessboard

Rats on the Chessboard

A Poem by Jay Richards
"

You're going to need a dictionary.

"
The aesthetic perception
of the eye
gets bent out of sync
by the limits of language

as prisms and reflectors
condense illusions
into alternate events

paradigms shoplift the remaining
metaphysics of overarching ocular
bio-geometry

as spirits remain dormant within
the field of consciousness
and the imagination
fornicates with
nature

we become god-metaphors
in dis-equilibrium

as poets
we
weave
syllables
into whirlwinds
of collaborated truths -

then,

we become a chess board
of raving semantic rodents.
