If Satan Could SIng he'd be In a Rock Band

If Satan Could SIng he'd be In a Rock Band

A Poem by if i were a season i'd be winter

Fearsome tests and glory trains

Tearing eyes that sing like rain

Taking time to do what's right

Fighting against that endless night

And all the while it's never seen

That these lights are a bloody sheen

But if Satan could sing he'd be in a rock band

Singing and jamming and playing his hand

If Satan could sing he'd join in the choir

Instead of being a villain for hire

Cramming books to boost the mind

Staining hearts and never fined

Touching time to hold it down

Binding lust endlessly drowned

And all the while it's never known

That these cries are glory owned

But if Satan could sing he'd be in a rock band

Playing and singing and loving his tan

If Satan could sing he'd be in the chorus

Instead of just selling his gore to us

Facing the tears that seal and bind

Training the heart to never define

Getting the scras to prove the worth

A harming trust that delays the birth

And all the while it's never heard

That those tainted lies aren't earned

But if Satan could sing he'd be in a rock band

Creating the music that's wanted to be planned

If Satan could sing he'd be in the concert

Instead of just finding ways of self-hurt

And if Satan could sing he'd be in a rock band

Singing and jamming and playing his hand

If Satan could sing he'd be in the choir

Instead of being a villain for hire
