From Across the Sea

From Across the Sea

A Poem by RL Valdez
"

...when She goes and He has nothing to do but wait..

"
From miles away where the fireball always dug its grave
To free the sleeping crescent with its warriors scattered,
Your light wandered off afar embracing the cold pave
Of running away far, far from our Orient.

As the calm sky whisked its dusts to blacken the blue space
Was the time he tries replaying your sweetest cradle
To ease his mind and calm his heart with a tender touch,
To belittle the fear of staying out from your warm hug.

Closer to the world's luminaries, shining glamour,
The clarity of the sea reached each teardrops of soul
Seeking away nostalgia to keep your will strong
To end the battle of mountain climb, deny a lost.

Your crafts were at their solitude of own perfection.
The struggle to catch a breath continuously went on,
As you obtained those golds to fuel our wanderlust
Though the blood on its own thickness sought its way back home.

And at last you turned again to see what lies behind
Only to see those misty eyes waiting for the night
That was kept for how many years of being away
A dream to be together at least just for a day.

The old lullaby of serenity for those cries
Brought back sweet flashes of those reminiscence with you.
Now that those broken strings were combined over again,
Mishap's intervention could not ever take the bloom.
