Her End

Her End

A Poem by Revolved

I watch and see her,

Stiff and still on the bed

That cold,

Metal,

Hospital bed

I look at her face,

Her cold,

Pale,

Lifeless face

And I imagine,

Her smile,

Her laughter,

Her movements

That is all gone

Her joy,

Her cries,

Her smile

All gone from that man,

That evil,

Heartless,

Worthless man

Who took her life,

Her soul,

Her family,

Her everything

And I stand and stare

Waiting for God to take her,

For her body to disappear,

For this pain to end.
