THE BLUE-GREEN LEAF

THE BLUE-GREEN LEAF

A Poem by Sir Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

I feel the Spring

in a new line tied so kind hangs-out

budding forth sheets

with every time I read

not what I thought

a-comforting poem it will be

I like that, if, wooden poles is good enuff

ifso, I'm still hanging of here recall'd

looking up at it heard, as of yet, searching

like a bird on a reflecting wing of all

from the blue-green aloft off a leaf

of a great poem formed

in the moment I found amore got

by what has the thought

the trees collecting within that counted one

somewheres and I might note it true blue

the thoughts you are, am I

swimming thru to a star

flutter, flutter, flutter.

in both the butterfly and the moth and the cricket

or is that a grasshopper

at a long, long road outta what cannot be utter'd

as of yet, searching, looking up at it heard

so pretty and so abstract

all too soon shall pass go

remember, remember, remember, remember

and I noticed it from the markers nearby

nature's odd fellows believes

stems of balance

full of petals of mine recall'd

I feel the Spring

on a new line clothes spin hangs-in

budding forth sheets
