Our Minds Must Work On It Gather On It Many Words

Our Minds Must Work On It Gather On It Many Words

A Poem by Sir Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

i need i need
but oftentimes
sadly enough
i fail to see what
heals with heart
helps the mind
amending i am
one them and us
of the lost ships
who walked to go
a long long whiles
head hanging low
stumbling down the crystal staircase
around one place to the next
for something gotten by
i couldn't find went looking
trekking along stones
will flow rolling on
both these memories dreams last
by water with debris i search love are on
awaiting awhile i sees
with new eyes
different eyes
lifted eyes brighter
our minds must
work on it gather on it many words
wonderful that is
any time any place
so much to find betterments
both these memories dreams imparts
both hearts senses has put once
not indifference
oh, beautiful it is
hopes together chimes
both these memories dreams carry
we searched through spaces, noisy, sent?
so lost we are tonight
to reaches for at edges silent
and if it is so
we are so
to see it backwards
many times thru lonesome chapters on
oh, so, to now go set forth
shapes of waters
how these eyes
are here loosens sunken vessels
sees with heart
heals the mind
still bursting with tears this Fall
does feel
the love again
