Flower In A Dark Field Let's Dance In The Rain

Flower In A Dark Field Let's Dance In The Rain

A Poem by Sir Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

o' my only flower you are not looking so well in times we see the void of

struggles how much you will never know what are you waiting for

o' let's go are you still in reach o' good grief o' bit of relief of troubles

for some treats and a cause of some tender release without much thought

at which restrains you from floating in your world o' rain

o' my only flower i see from the top a mask and the odd mood we've been

like our beloved moon above must change every now and then

from one way to another way now since it's October 31st lift the mist

something broods more clouds gloom lesser deep warmth more the matter

o' my only flower i see in your bright sweet gleaming eyes i take you

aside for just a moment i held you tight true it's a-trick feeling is frightful

and i let you go stepping away saying nothing smiling long easily

encourges you i think so you can hold on o' love is a strong heart beating so

until the feeling has passed outlasted and how do i know how my dear

o' agony to have a thoughtout way to say this to you only you know

it's me for a fitful part of in which it did toss off the little mask you're wearing

hanging by a string o' my flower o' this is my only certain reply

look at me within those ways those thoughtful eyes to glide

after a night of drinking cider and dancing with the stars above us

is over under moon o' my only flower o' was that very much

exciting unnoticing that you sat back for another kiss o' love awaits

just to fall unconscious imagine that what a drag out it was

o' my flower o' i see o' my only little flower your last chance

how you have been so revered do you feel you have been severed

torn from all you knew and will know again you will always bloom

when i carry you in to a close your petals painted still glows

o' my only flower o' Heavenly hue glancing over a fainted rose

shadows will go under moonlight bright and new and shinning through

maybe from the stars warm when i carry on over unto you is

as then the next season begins comes to relieve us of night merry

o' the sharp knife falling cuts loose the flowers scary but all's well

o' my flower o' i see o' my only little flower it's me

flower in a dark field let us dance in the rain

o' my flower o' i see o' my only little flower it's me

flower in a dark field let us dance in the rain

o' my flower o' i see o' my only little flower it's me

o' count on more of your last dance since

it's you i saved there-in the gray mass whistling vast
