The Lingering

The Lingering

A Poem by Robert Bean

The Lingering

sitting next to you
the heat distracts me from thinking
but your body is ruling my thoughts
my desire is a runaway stallion
a tempest of emotion and passion
a bursting volcano
overcome by the pleasure to come
we touch for the first time
a memory charred on my soul
the taste of every inch
my tongue traces each curve
sweat dapples your satin skin
silky mounds of flesh
that quiver with the throes
of my lingering
