GREEN

Images of green...

Glass green, bottle green,

Sea green, jade;

Shines in sunlight,

Cools in shade;

Under growing life’s parade

Emerald velvet carpet laid.

This is really nice, captures the new season very well. I particularly enjoy how firmly 'jade' cuts the repetition at the beginning of the poem, it's telling of how deliberate everything in the piece is.

For some reason this brings to mind flying over veldts of verdant greenery, though I guess it could be a picnic on the grass. Nature is such diverse shades of green.

only after reading the poem did I realize the numerous hues of green but then I'm colour blind.

Was thinking just the other day how wondrous it is to see.. to see colors and shades.. And here.. in your poetic voice.. you help us see so many hues of green... It is nothing short of a miracle...
