Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by Rodney Ray Hatchell / Unheardsong

                   Dreams

To live a dream is to find a missing
part of yourself .
Some dreams are cobwebbed ,burred
deep in back of your brain .
That has been hidden for many
reasons.
Because you think others thought it
was a foolish dream.
How silly this boy must be to
dream the imposable dream.
Live your dream if you want to swim
beside a dolphin at play.
When she sings her songs just  for
you that’ll  inspire more dreams to
come true many  times over.
Watch a dream come to life as a
Eagle sores above the clouds.
The ones that reach up ,to   almost
to Heavens door.
Where God awaits to greet   the
graceful eagle in it’s flight.
Watch a dream open before your
eyes as the clouds begin to change
into different shapes.
Some may bring a childhood memory
back to mind.
Then other clouds may play with
the mind of a child.
Like cotton candy she has never
tasted upon her lips.
But they are her dream.
A dream can be watching a butterfly
breaking threw her cocoon.
Then watching her premier flight.
A dream can be when someone holds
you in there arms for a night.
Until morning light.
A dream is the beginning of your
tomorrows .
Some will be pleasant and some will
carry sorrows that reaches  deep into
the  heart of a passing friend or  family
member.
So cherish each dream that you share
with others.
For you no not if they’ll be around for
Dreams of tomorrow.   By: Rodney Hatchell
