Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by Rosauro Brillantes
"

A buddy just gave me this random topic to write about one day

"
And so I'm staring down this hall
I'm hearing noises so I stall
I continue down this corridor
He's guilty but I'm sorrier
Step by step upon the dust
I should leave, but on I thrust
A pair of eyes right on my face
Darts around so my heart will race
In a mirror then I see
A silhouette right behind me
Turn around but nothing there
There was something there I swear
Face the mirror again I find
The ghost is standing right behind
I want to yell but freeze in fear
Adrenaline rush I don't think clear
I feel its cold hand on my skin
I pray to God, when did I sin?
I feel my warmth slip like a knife
The ghost is me and I am it
The ghost just stole my life

This is bloody brilliant!
"He's guilty but I'm sorrier" This is my favorite line.
Good rhyme and flow. It's almost humorous.
