A Poem by Roy Wang

We meet people everyday.
Not knowing their lives,
Not knowing their stories;
It’s a scary thing to think of.
But knowing that they’re human;
Knowing they are mortal,
It makes you wonder:
Why are some people more liked than others?
Why are there idols in society,
When we could all expire tomorrow?
In this sense,
I’m a little less afraid,
Because I know,
No one is less than I am,
But also,
No one is better than me.

About
I am an 18 year old college student that writes on impulse. I would love to find a suitable publisher for my short stories and poems, one that doesn't force me to drop out of school. Sometimes, I like.. more..
