Desire's flower

Desire's flower

A Story by Ruby Moon

Feels like desire is a relentless surge, a wave, breaking over me. Following naught but its own cycle. However, now I understand the desire need not leave one helpless with want and need. It can be gentle as well, like a flower unfurling each leaf and petal in its time. Unfolding slowly to revel in its full glory before peaking and fading away, leaving one with a beautiful memory.

Imagine, a flower in a warm drizzle. How each drop kisses its petals and leaf. Imagine, a flower under a warm sun. How it basks in the warmth and heat. Likewise each kiss, each caress can be felt fully. Gentle and yet intense because of the love present all around, wrapping around everything... fading into a soft afterglow. Like how the air still retain its warm even after the sun has set.
