Silences

Silences

A Poem by poet tree
"

Silences

"
I can feel the beat fading
We’ve been trying to keep it going
For far too long
It’s not the last note that kills me
It’s the silences between the songs

Your prying eyes read me back then
You knew that I’d been on my own too long
You tried but you couldn’t save me
I’m just dealing with the absence of song

Now as your music fades
I’ll sing you a soft seranade
And hope you that you’ll forgive me
As our music fades away

I can feel the beat fading
We’ve been trying to keep it going
For far too long<
It’s not the last note that kills me
It’s the silences between the songs
