Sun-Kissed

Sun-Kissed

A Poem by poet tree

I miss you
Like the warmth
Emanating off sun-kissed bodies
And the feeling we’d never grow old
Like tanned backs
And the sunflower sun dress you wore
You always smelled of tangerine
Of sweet citrus
Of bulbs blooming
Of honeysuckles in the late evening
I’ll miss you
But I’ll cherish my
Sun-kissed dreams

Memories can be a reminder of what you may lack currently, though, sometimes they can be even more beautiful. The beauty of ephemeral days, that nothing truly lasts forever in this world, gives life so much meaning and a reason to hold on to every moment, for it is precious. I felt like that was the kind of message this poem was conveying (I could be wrong, though!). Well done!
