Passing the father

Passing the father

A Story by RD Zeger
"

Deep look into the soul of grief.

"
I past my father today at least five times. Each time i glanced little shorter as I walked by faster. Avoiding the inevitable Tonight he caught up with me and starred me directly in the eyes. I'm sure he seen how weak I was. I seen his fear, dispare and tears run down scruffy Gray beard. I would recognize that hair line and tired eyes full of wisdom anywhere. I see him angry crying in dispare. I glanced away, finally pulling from his bone chilling stare. Walking away gathering my self to face my family. I changed mood and thought to my self. I really need to clean that mirror.
