Crying Earth

Crying Earth

A Poem by Katharine
"

A Poem about my fears over mother earth being literally destructed by mankind.

"
I awoke to the great catastrophe of the starving world,
Mother Earth crushed between greed laden hands,
A circular bread board with knives laying across her,
Tragic and screaming, in my baby son's eye,
Calling for help, calling for forgiveness,
I saw her blinded by the comet plunging down,
Each day nearer, it was the sign, she wailed,
Squeezed by the devil's hands, wrung out and withered,
Ashes of her four corners fighting between themselves,
Voices calling, faces appearing in the grain of wood,
Poltergeists in the North, love in the East,
Mockery in the West, pleasure in the South,
She cried out to me, our inhabitants are toys, sheep and robotic,
Look at the beauty of the plants loosing their sap,
Spears placed in the dirt, piercing muffled begging,
Oh, to be treated with love and respect,
She was at war with Mars,
Colliding with the Sun,
I followed signs, directing me to lunacy,
I gazed Mother Earth  straight in the eye,
Red is the blood of the gutters in her hands,
Blue the frozen, crumbling Earth,
Take her away, pray for the crucified Planets.
And God is there, in the corners of her mind,
He is gone from the hearts of the machinery,
Save yourself for the good of the blind,
Take the Earth from the Joker's hands.

You are a treasure.. My skin is crawling with chills and my eyes have tears.. This is so deeply raw and passionate. I love the end when the power of taking Earth from the Jokers hands is said.. I bow humbly ...this is beyond words...x

A poem with common sense. It does seem the God's are fighting. The sad part. Man is the problem. Thousand years of war is not enough for man hunger. Thank you for sharing your poetry. Welcome my friend.
