An Action

I always wondered what love was

When I asked I got so many different answers

Answers that only left me even more curious

 

I was told that Love is a feeling

Or love is an emotion

Or love is just simply a myth

 

But when I finally experienced love

I finally knew what love was

 

It's an action

You express your love with your actions

The small things you do for each other

The small gestures

 

It was far more than a fuzzy emotion

A sweet feeling

 

It was you and I acting in love

Doing things for each other because we simply wanted to

Simply making time for one another

 

And I look at you now

And I hope that I have shown you enough love

Because you show me you love me everyday

 

That's what love is

An action

The little things
