Stuck

Stuck

A Poem by sarah

I'm stuck
In a rut
And no matter how hard I try
I can't escape

I feel like i'm writing the same poem
Over and over again
I write it in my sleep
I write it wherever I am

It's the same poem
With different words
With a different meaning
But it's still the same

I write about the boy
Who first took my heart
Then handed it back
On a plate

I'm stuck
I pull and pull
I struggle
Till I can't anymore

Something keeps pulling me back to him
I keep trying to understand
What's keeping me here
In this same place

I scream to God
Asking him why I can't let him go
Why can't I simply forget it
If i'm meant to stay why has their been no sign

I'm stuck
With no escape in sight

Escape is not needed, it's a mindscape a trap of emotions that hold you down, learn to embrace the pain, even love it make it a friend, only then will you feel free to love again, to love another who is worthy of recieving such a beautiful gift...well expressed and emotional poem

Sad poem! To me it seems you still have feelings for him, and it is sad that he can't see how he has hurt you. Try going out with friends, let him see you're not going to let him get you down!

This is a really very sad poem. And as you told in your poem, your poems are usually on similar lines. But yet they were all amazingly well written. And so was this one. Enjoyable and so true. Great work.

its such a sad and touching write, I agree with Alicia, maybe you can test out what he really mean to you, if you just can't let go, then make other friends!

Aww, this is a sad poem. You could try to just completely boycott him for a week, then see where that takes you…

Hm, you used pull both in the 5th and 6th stanza, and I think you should use different words, since it goes in different directions.
