Who You Are to Me

Who You Are to Me

A Poem by safeuncertainty
"

The first real poem I have ever written. Since written, parts have been turned into a song I'll post a link with the song and the new "lyrics" (: Enjoy.

"

The boy I knew since I was small
The one who claimed he’d help me through it all
How quickly times have changed
And how easily my view of you was rearranged
Where are you now?

Sneaking out late with the girl of your dreams
And dating the girl with the high self esteem
You look completely happy, or so it seems
Sorry that couldn’t be me

You’re the one with the perfect touch
Filled with love and joy and such
A little clueless, but what can I do?
I wish you knew how much I still love you

But you’re happy with her
That girl of your dreams
I'm happy for you, but sorry for me
It’s tearing me apart at the seams
But what can I do?

I guess you’re just like any other guy
Unable to realize how much I cry
I’ll see you in the future, sooner or later
Here is my final goodbye to a typical heartbreaker

I kind of really adore this.
I read this like lyrics and have my own little song in my head... can't wait to hear how it it supposed to sound!
