midnight dance

feigning romance

aloof with melancholy grandeur tonight

waltzing across the sky

your vain countenance uncovered

exuding with jewels, while drifting high

postulating, speculating

like a reciprocal to morning dew

casts your shine upon the midnight blue

you paint the sky with your irony

drizzle it with hyperbole

and laugh with satire too

dance, dance, dance

casting a spell with the miracle of your beauty

exploding into view

beckoning us with your kaleidoscope of bright hues
