COLORED

COLORED

A Poem by Sam Hush
"

Rhymes of rain.

"
COLORED
Raining down so hard beside
This cloud that she's inside
Falling off a rock and pebble
It was a sunny day
Pain inside her trembles
She had to stay
To keep this darkness at bay
Biting off her lips
Her world turns to gray
He told her to wait
By the gate painted red
She drew a world waiting
For him instead
He came back again
When it stopped to rain
Souls were loud
Mouths were shut
In her heart she said
Pain is in the rain
She walked onto him
Hoping for a closure
Moonlight began to dim
She painted him closer
With every step she cried
Behind her smile
Rewind the light
Their love coincide
Wasted her entire life
Holding this knife
Dried with lust
Heart are warmed
Souls are dust
He warned her
He would walk away
She would be alone
No one will stay
She sat by the ocean
Gazing at a distant light
Calling her in
She kept walking
Even after she drowned
In the ocean so deep
She heard just the sound
Love was around.
