"Spring" 5-14-2014

Suddenly, instantly, the world is wide awake

As the murk of winter passes by.

Once more to the skies the birds do take,

As the animals stir, nature is awry.

Askew in such a beautiful way,

As the environment favors chaos.

But no matter how hard one may pray

Soon all must experience the loss

Of innocence and youth, as they too soon pass

With the quickness of the spring’s cool breeze.

The world changes, cynical and crass

As the stunning leaves return to the trees.

Life seems to be passing in a blur

As the cool spring turns to summer.
