Toxic Waste

Toxic Waste

A Poem by Samantha Lynn
"

Still working on it, but here is one of my daily poems. Enjoy!

"

Our relationship is hazardous,

like a big vat of toxic waste

being dumped into the ocean.

My salty waters reach out

to the most distant parts of the globe,

but you stretch through my center,

burning my salty waters into vapor

and I float away into the non-existent air.

The more you tear through me,

the more hurt I feel,

but I am simply a bowl of water with

no feelings, no emotion, just water

and you are the pain that makes me feel alive

because without you I would just be something

for the world to take advantage of.

Honest and direct thoughts dear Samantha. Sometime better to be in a toxic place than alone. Powerful emotion led to true ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
