Love and loss...

A sad one…Love and loss…

And over the semblance of yolks my yearnings kept

Bindings of secrets when my ferried sighs drew near

I named thee Sweet Valentine in loquacious silence

And in the boundless deep I sang of yonder souvenir.

Fainteth not my soul! I must be weary and love-veiled

Thou art my fairy till time henceforth beguiles no more

And scenes laid where sleeping witnesses scorneth death

It shall be fitting in nature’s pride, twain destiny in store.

Exprest this sadness with liberty and nib of a poet’s pen

And eyes bedewed by tearful mourn and pinings repaid

Hail not death! Hail life;though all must justly obeyeth

Fondly I wail heavenward with phrensied woe dismayed.

And over the semblance of yolks my yearnings kept
I loved the beginning, specially the word yolks , I like how you incorporate it

Hello My. K, oh how I wish to take a dip in your pool of vocabulary, you used this words with ease, and that is no easy feat to maintain, Sad the poem may be, you wrote it so elegant worthy of praise and lecture, Very Cool, EG

I know I disappear a lot, but goodness it is good to come back to such magnificence.
Now, I would say, this isn't a sonnet, even though the first stanza reads like one. Either way, this is a very good piece.
Keep them coming

Very, very grand, Sami!

In the spirit of the great Romantics like Keats, comes this modern gem that glistens with lovely archaic language and bittersweet images of love, longing and the pining of lost love.

Simply wonderful writing, my friend. Always a pleasure to read your work.

This is beautiful, I could just picture the backdrop of this entire scene playing out in my mind. Loss and longing, hope and strength..this is a beautiful representation of love transcending beyond life and death. You make me believe it's eternal. Great write.
