In Wisdom or Fatuity      by Sami Khalil

Adrift on the frontier of quietude’s coldish verities.

Wading through the choreography of nature’s nestling fracas.

Tangled among the vernal freshness of foliage jiffs.

Shadowed by the translucent spirit of fossilized memories.

Walking away from the afterglow of weary, amber years.

Tying together spent years in guffawing flashbacks.

Chasing flood-washed lands drenched by monsoon rains.

Caressing happenstance between spicy kisses and predators’ mouths.

Crooning sanguineous hearts stalwart to cradled musings and tonality.

Measuring life’s equations, taking inventory of its illusive books.

Tossing pebbles in still waters to witness stretched spherules.

Sculpting validations out of supernal, winner options.

Catching trains chasing themselves in steam-driven intrepid thoughts.

In wisdom or fatuity,

I’m writing my own drama!
