Mystery

Mystery

Love is in the air...

Mystery                               by Sami Khalil

Mystery awaits us

Further a light shine

Closer a scarecrow diminishes

Eyes wonder and wander

Scottish bagpipes march

Crowds break into songs

Visages of old withered vines

Farmers and urbanites alike

I cast a reflective net

on this parade

compelled to drift

I cross uncertainty

My heart soared

A garden marker outlined

The fruit of new love.

Spirits wandering the lonely Moors... Faces peering down from vine covered walls... And perhaps a fairy lover seeking to steal an unwary heart. These are the thoughts conjured by your poem. Well done.

Wowzy! I love yours too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your visit. See you soon.
I like the symbilism in the line: a scarecrow diminishes. It represents the departure of the cold and a renewal of warmth. One sees the joy in others over an assurance of what's to come, and perhaps decides on a different approach away from the norm. Love of life and perhaps a relationship could be in store, but who knows.

Just my quick take. Nice writng. Sami.

I like the allegorical nature of this poem. It can be taken literally....a deserted, barren field becomes ripe once again....a deserted, barren love becomes ripe once again.
