![]() GeeseA Poem by Sami KhalilGeese by Sami Khalil An English Sonnet... I spied over my head southbound, a skein Of geese guiding others of neck and wings Trumpets blaring vociferously fain Winging through high, basking in graceful things. Dare I, for it behooves my curious mind Fanfare travel, startling earliest dawns How idyllic when winds unfurl, unwind Those flutters about in strings of pros and cons? Oh! How full of stamina and courage Where angel’s wings do serve onward destiny Beneath tree tops the watchful eyes forage For deeper nourishment and due equity. Meanwhile, the sheltered man will fare awful For non-ventured, non-gained for the hopeful. © 2025 Sami KhalilReviews
