![]() MomentsA Poem by Sami KhalilMoments by Sami Khalil An English Sonnet... Between a moment and the next, ported ships Above waters that glisten so brightly Mooring new and aged docks, prefacing trips Leaving their berth, launching ventures sightly. By the way of harbors, they softly bob Drearily pausing over restless waves Under watchful eyes of seagulls’ mob Where anchors lay and storms span the enclaves. Moments carry us high on time’s shoulders Giving a burial salute to the dead past Some wax and wane by being stockholders While others cast off implications last. Leave your imprints upon scripted sojourn Staying afloat when asperities churn. © 2025 Sami KhalilReviews
