Serenity

A poem about achieving something i have not yet achieved, but will spend my life trying to.

Im trying to achieve my serenity

but there is always an intervention

another obstacle to cross

or a crossroads to choose

another choice

one that defines your life

the rest of your life

everything happens for a reason

everything happens as an effect of a cause

every cause you choose to do in your life

you have control over your life but you don't

you make the choices and wait for the effect

the possibilities

will it be good or bad

theres always good

but only to balance out the bad

but what if theres not balance

some people don't have that

most people don't

most people spend their lives looking for balance

for peace

the pursuit of happiness

a long lived quest for something only you can find on your own

for some it doesn't exist

for others its just being blocked by one person

but for some they can finally achieve it

Reach the top of the mountain at last

at last you found it, and have

Serenity.

Good job here!.....But,it's my humble request, you must look to improvise a rhyme scheme. Because after all, a rhyme scheme adds merriment to the poetic life. And as for what you have penned, it's fine architecture-d and also carries a message for a mundane to tackle the influence of darkness and to fight despair and at last, conquer every golden step of the ladder. YOU HAVE MENTIONED THAT VERY WELL. Keep up.
