call me crazy / graceful / gone

call me crazy / graceful / gone

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

somehow i still believe

in beauty

regardless of the way he hurt me.

somehow i still believe

in my heart

regardless of the way he broke it apart.

somehow i still believe

and that

is more

than i ever

even

hoped for.

Wow very inspiring and uplifting are your words again... to still have faith in love and yourself after being hurt is hard but necessary to really live again, and the best revenge. You really know how to vent your feelings with class and style.

It's a very personal poem. I thought it would connect with more readers if you could write it without "he", but that's just me. I won't bump stars away because of capitalization because I think that is some sort of style that I am too old and crochety to recognize. The poem makes my heart ache for you and makes me happy for you that you still hope. and that makes it a 5 Star poem.

another gem here. Your words (in your other poems as well) have a beauty to them and a pain to them. the reader can relate to both sides of them.
" and that is more than I ever hoped for" -brilliant.

Love has a strange way of prying the unconditional box open. It is hard to step back from it sometimes.

this is pretty good... i might change the second stanza and third stanzas slightly to ...

somehow i still believe
in my heart
regardless of how it broke

somehow i still believe

and that is more
than i could have
hoped.

nice work overall.

Sometimes saying less is more. (I apologise for the cliche`)

"and that
is more
than i ever
even
hoped for. "

Speaks volumes to those of us who have been there.
