pissed off

pissed off

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

you've taken the angst away.

and i'm a little pissed off.

i was looking forward to tortured
love poetry
dripping from my
crying fingertips.

and now all i have is a hopeful
lilt to my smile
and the occasional blush
to my cheeks.

it's really quite disgusting.

and rather a waste of good heartache…

if you ask me.

now that's f****n great! the 2nd line really begins the true message of the poem and took me by suprise which made the poem even better. Great work.

kara - i love this - this is hilarious - i love the irony - what is really great is when we can step away from ourselves and see how funny we really are - like a dog laying on a nail and howling - and getting vicious when someone comes to help him up - glenn

What a way to greet the good times! Outstanding contribution to the search for true agony, in order to find beauty! Loud applause will follow this message!

Hear hear, a plague on all those who are happy. I know the feeling of this one, and you evoke it nicely and with a sweet simplicity, as there is really no other way to describe it.

Hmm...this one definately makes me smirk. I hate it when this happens. We need more fuel for the fire but all we get is sap and that doesn't burn. Not that this is sappy. Far from it. But it's difficult to trade in raw emotion when you're happy. What I most like about this poem is that you get the impression its going to be all angsty and caustic but it's really cute. Very nice.

Oh no! I could never write without my angst. I probably couldn't function. Damn it all if I ever fall in love...

it's really quite disgusting
perfectly placed

Love it.

Great poem! I love how you captured the essence of sometimes just wanting to remain in a funk but being drawn out anyway! Sometimes life goes on too quickly when you'd rather just wallow in self-pity for a while. Thanks for sharing!
