Completion

I possess only myself

But they scream that I’m possessing

The world

The sun

And the stars

When I buy their houses

Their cars

And their solutions

When I go out on the town

To shows

To parties

And to events

That should complete

My inadequacy

That should complete

The cycle of materialism

That should complete

My shortcomings

But then fall short

When things
Break

Get lost
And fall apart

And find that I have only

Broken
Lost

And torn apart

Myself.
