Goth Girl On The End Of A String

Goth Girl On The End Of A String

A Poem by Saving Grace

Play with your dollies,

Wish you were like that.

They always look pretty,

While you look like crap.

So you color their eyes in

Shades of grey,

And paint their lips black

Every time that they fade.

Rat up their hair,

Their clothes tattered and torn.

Now they look like you,

Your not jelous any more.

Put your new dress on,

And tie in your bow.

Cut yourself slowly

and go to the show.

Slip in the back door,

Stand in the last row,

Shake off the glances

From people you don't even know.

Run home and light candles

Fall into your bed.

Wake up the next morning

And wish you were dead.

Good flow of thoughts and actions. The description allowed the reader to feel the indifferent and I like the closing line. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Hm....nice flow. It was very good. The only part I'm not thrilled about is the cutting part, but it's not my place to judge that. I like it.
