Mysteries III

Mysteries III

A Poem by Maxinne Marie

He was in agony, he longed for death,

he wanted me to kill him.

Little did he know, I already did,

a long time ago.

Still he is oblivious to the fact

that he is but a mere memory.

In my sweet darkness,

he was the earth’s oblivion,

now coming back to haunt

my sharply shattered glass heart.

And so, if I have to, I shall

silence his soul again.

My blade seeks to taste

the blood of truth and justice.

Here in the darkness, I am free.

In mystery, I am alive.

And I wait, melded with

the shadows, for my prey.

well written Maxinne, I love the fact that you say "he wanted me to kill him.
Little did he know, I already did,
a long time ago. " and the preditorial sense of you, great poem, great work!
