shampoo and mascara

shampoo and mascara

A Poem by vindictivesunshine

Today shampoo filled lungs change my mind
The smoke and faceless mages not enough to suffice.
Never enough.
Not for a while
Maybe not ever.
Maybe Tuesday,
The hibernation, this coma, my heart will cease to be.
The sky in justice does sway
From apathy to empathy, an unfamiliar dance
Send some rain to darken my way
But cant persuade my shadow to leave
Or the memory of
Shampoo and Mascara

Naturally, I loved this too.

The hibernation, this coma, my heart will cease to be.
The sky in justice does sway
From apathy to empathy, an unfamiliar dance
Send some rain to darken my way
But cant persuade my shadow to leave

What a power packed little poem this is. I can't think of a better way to say it than WOW!

Powerful... You hit all the correct marks with this piece...the lines that draw a reader in and then slap them in the face at the end (in a good way, of course). I like your style.
