Pink Ballerina

Pink Ballerina

A Poem by Sanders Wallace
"

dad sees 4 year old's first dance

"
Precious ballerina,
Pink piroutte and shoes,
How you loved to dance
As much as it loved you.

Little lovely dancer,
Unforgettable plie',
How your daddy sniggered
That utterly adorable day.

At the close of the song,
All exited the stage.
He tittered once again
When you alone stayed.

And precious ballerina
As you grew, it did too.
And though you chose no finale,
It is always there for you.
