My Struggle With The Net

I am an internet addict

Here is my two cents worth

Hours and hours are spent

can't understand in the end where they went

In front of the computer

typing, reading, conversing over and over

Many friends are made

some flourish, grow strong and then some fade

Then that inevitable day

you realize it is impossible to stay

In your cyber world

because the real world has unfurled

Your hips are growing wider

Your cholesterol has risen higher

The family never see you

You know you must leave but it's so difficult to do

Your bookmark list is a mile long

Address book overflows and the need to leave is strong

So you're left with a decision

its either leave the cyber world slowly or a break it off suddenly action

Either choice you make

is difficult but the friendships made were never fake

Some will be quite alarmed

Others will feel abandoned, their hearts harmed

By such inconsiderance

Having known this person was just a hindrance

They may think

but in truth leaving when necessary really does stink

It means cutting off

all ties with your cyber friends and that is tough

So my friends please keep in mind

That in the leaving, life as we know it, is being redefined
