Dust Bunny Thoughts

Dust Bunny Thoughts

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

...

"

Quiet isn't the best place

With my thoughts I should be

For they ramble on and on

About nothing

Yada yada gossip and

More and more about insecurities

Then when the noise comes back

It's way too late for any hope of rescue

I am already focusing in on them

Believing as days recycle

Regurgitate begin and end

Never rid of those damn dust bunnies

Can I criticize this one a bit? I think yada yada and the word regurgitate ruin the poem... Otherwise the idea is good and the lines are not bad.

But that word and phrase tell the exact mood I am trying to get across.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with such thoughts. :)

Now I have to do one called cobweb thoughts. Where is that darn spider?
Very witty, I thoroughly enjoyed the unique insightful honest imagery you
Incorporated in this write, Micheal. Very relatable, those dust bunnies,
their cacophony gossip mongers, need to be sprayed with pledge,
I prefer vanilla/lavender scent.

I rather dwell in solitude, and rejoice in the silence, trying to only
Listen to the voice of my Muse.

Anyhow, this is brilliantly penned. Thanks for sharing :)

the white noise of thought.
Sometimes quietness brings a feel of peacefulness although I agree with you that sometimes it is not the best of things to do.

if we don't protect our thoughts the adversary tries to sneak in the back door.
I think this one will resonate with many, I know it did me, dust bunnies begone, they need a spray or something....clever read Mike.

Thanks Frieda.
This is a great piece, Mike - like the ever-present crud under the bed, no matter how much we clean house some crumbs will creep back in...

If our thoughts must be dust; let them be stardust. Loved this. Mike.
