Watching Rain In Song

Watching Rain In Song

A Poem by Michael G. Smith
"

Missing the one I love

"

Buckets of silver bullets

They hit the lawn

And I sit and watch, the rain

And I think in song

Wondering why

You’re not here

By my side

And crying seems

So freaking useless

Cuz there’s enough rain

That falls into this life

And the music is

And it isn’t helping

Saying everything

Through the Bluetooth

Pulsing and pounding

Beating, meaning upon my heart

And the rain starts racing, trying...

To beat the pain to a pulp

No! It’s not okay!

You shouldn’t be...

An empty space faceless!

But, So you are

And the river flows

Streams of dreams

On the computer screen, before me

Pictures of you

Days ago,

Before you left me

And I sit watch...

The rain within killing me

And I think

What did I do to deserve this?

Music can be both a torment and a balm when we miss someone... Well said, Mike.

Will do and you'remost welcome
Downloaded the new Tesla Cd/Mp3 while watching the torrential rains we been experiencing here in Florida the last few weeks while missing my wife. She had to travel to Dominican Republic to take care of her ailing parents. I am always taking surprised by how much I miss her and Tesla's music helps to ease the pain and then reminds me more of it. Honey I love you an Tesla thanks for another kiss a*s Cd.
