Day & NIght

Day & NIght

A Poem by DanaRegen
"

A poem dedicated to the creatures of day and night.

"

Night falls along the rivers bank

the moonlit water shivers in the wind

croaks fill the nights air

nocturnal creatures awaken from their deep slumbers

howls begin to rouse through the forests

waking the owls who begin their nights ascend in search of  prey

dawn slowly approaches

the creatures of the night subside into their lulling sleeps

the sun rises through a tangle of clouds

creatures of the day awaken

butterflies are seen in patches of flowers

and deer graze in nearby fields

soon the sun will fall behind the mountains and night will fall once again

bringing a new day to follow

I loved your colored words, as blue is night and yellow day. I liked how you told about how the "the moonlit water shivers in the wind" as can be seen by ripples. From night dawning to day, an interesting prospective. A lot of writers will write from day to night. I liked your wording as you described the many facades of each passing moment. Well written! =) ks.

I liked the imagery you used throughout this poem. The sequence flowed very well and brought vivid pictures my imagination. The unending sequence of night and day isn't monotonous at all, each day there are beautiful and wonderful things to be considered. Thanks for bringing some of them to mind. As always, take care, and thanks for sharing! =o)

Loved it.
Passion is in it, anyone can see that.
I love the very end.

Lovely!

cc - you used some past tense words, and made some words repetive
this is beautiful - sun breaks through a tangle of clouds
vivids
