A Leprechauns Trick

A Leprechauns Trick

A Poem by DanaRegen
"

A St. Patrick's Day poem!

"

Dancing around in marshes below
leprechauns party spreading lots of joy
a fellow follows the sound of the lot
hoping to his heart,
to be blessed with a pot o’ gold
spotting the path up ahead the fellow
holds his head up high
ready to emerge into the sky
a rainbow pathway leads upward
guiding the fellow into the icy air
 up above the green countryside
running over the rainbow
something catches his eye
a pot o’ gold in a patch of clovers below
jumping off the path above
the poor fellow crunches to the valley floor
a mere leprechaun trick,
for a St. Patrick’s Day fool

This was a great St. Patty's day Piece! i loved the whimsical tale of the hunt for fools gold. I think you told this tale really well in your flow and word choices.

The only thing I would say is the 3rd line from the bottom jerks the flow alittle....
"the poor fellow crunches to (?) valley floor"
? - Maybe a "the" or "a" inserted would make it flow perfect.

Other then that. It was a fun piece of Ink!
Keep up the good work Dana!

Witty and a joy to read, very nice work.
Some nice little phrases in there, 'pot o' gold' etc, encouraging you to read it in an Irish accent. Well, I did anyway, heh.
Keep up the good work, I shall read some more of your poetry you can be sure of that.
