~Red Beryl Vows~

~Red Beryl Vows~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

~myths stripped~

"

Shall I be your lover

in a silken blue chemise

shall I be your doll

in porcelain mystique

will you bring me bread when I am hollow as the bowl

of the fairy tale in two fold abandoned and untold

Shall I be your man

in a suit of armor on a steed

shall I be your groom

in gender flip misdeeds

will you bring me apples when I am hanging by a branch

of a story where the knight is a woman, not a man

Shall I be your wanderlust

in a gypsy swirl of cards

shall I be your fortune

in a love line burnt and scarred

will you bring me gold when I am made up for your fire

of branches pulled along a road by a girl you’ve named Desire

Shall I be your w***e

in a saucer spread with cream

shall I be your bride

of a thousand one misdeeds

will you sell me to the god when my worth has run its course

off the side rail of a story,  without a moment of remorse

Shall I be your lover

your girl with ruby lips

shall I be, as always

the point repeatedly dismissed

will you be my crush  when my heart decides to wander

off the beaten track that every man has squandered

so will you

will you be my lover

off the beaten track

forsaking all the others

loving me intact

and will you do as I do

here

on bended knee

my offering a fluted glass

filled with silk Chablis

hidden from the mad above

beneath this epic Tree

an apple in my top hat

a song inside my throat

my vows to you in scales

between my mouth

my bow

a bold calligraphy

a rose

how about we just hold e-hands and walk through this long garden praising the flowers...oh, say, about Feather Tales, remember the little girl whose voice was taken by a curse, you'll really love the climax (about fifteen chapter on) where she arises (yet again) to make the future possible...oh, the coffee and eclairs set my day in a sweet direction

Wow. Thats was deep. To me it showed the different social commentary's of being a male or female. it breaks down that barrier that separates the two....WONDERFUL.

That was spectacular. The meter and rhyme scheme brought a song I know ALMOST to mind (I can't quite place it) but I love it. The words themselves had me chuckling in places ( not quite a ridl!) not sure why the line - 'will you bring me apples when I am hanging by a branch of a story where the knight is a woman, not a man,' hit my funny bone, but it drew pictures of a few movies I've seen. All inappropriate comedy on my part aside, the theme was quite well pursued, and any man would be lucky to take you as you are bits and pieces of driftwood washed on the shore fitted together in a puzzle of wonderment (apparently 'wonderment' is my current state of mind since I've overused the word in the last day)
Is this one new? And did I say it was brilliant?

catagorically magical, never to be imprisoned by one thing or another...you shall be you, to be something else, you would lose your luster

...
. indeed myths stripped ... and with so much beauty and near-surgical precision in expressions ... very intense ... i could hear this recited like a chant ... a ravishing chant albeit in anguish ...

Hello Selene,

Shall I be your end, a thought that runs its course. or shall I make us the beginning. Will you be my victim, my cherished prize. Or will you enter into a world created by obsession. A world of pure madness....or madness that has created this world. Will you lust for me, desire me. Hurt me. Shall I be your Angel, with a tender touch and loving caress...will you accept me. Allow me to travel down the unseen path of purity. Will you lust for the desire. Obsess over the possibilities. Will you find us a w***e....to cherish. Dress her like a doll. Lust for her. Shall I show her the attention you want. Tease you. Please her while you watch me with your eyes fixated upon the purity of madness. Will you stare into her eyes as the cord tightens. Shall I stare into yours as the thrill quickens your heart, arouses you. Will you desire me, please me. Taunt me for having her. Will you leave a rose on her chest..an offering of love....remorse....madness...

Regards,

Matthew

TAO
Nice... Namaste. I see you. Had I not my own words, I should like use this poem as a vow to the next woman I propose. There is not much I can say about your poem, for your poem says it all for us. Your sorcery is powerful, and binds us to the spell hidden in your word, and we are...happy...to have bitten into this apple. Very nice read, goddess Selene.

I love this, particularly "a gypsy swirl of cards." It's fabulous. The darkened fairytale feel gives the text a provoking echo. Thank you for sharing.
