Lilith's Cursory Rhyme~

Lilith's Cursory Rhyme~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Welcome to this book of love

of me across the sand

I welcome you to open me

with your killer, big boy hands

with your most exquisite woman lies

tossed at my feet with roses

all the purity and grime

as I shed my pixels through the poses

twisting into you with bullets

going down on this occasion

laced across the sweetest, purest

constrictor adorations

Welcome to this book of tongues

where we babble on and on

where a stinging moment is unsprung

and a kiss agreed upon

with your orchestrated songs

freed inside my mouth

where a woman's heart is strong

and her hips, in yours ,resound

spinning high on rumors

and deep into your body

a vapid, sweet consumer

with your needs to disembody

every bone and every look

she casts so careless ‘gainst your skin

every piece of you she took

emblazoned through her ink

Welcome to this book of lust

where you will be brought down

and oiled through my highway musk

stitched through my wedding gown

here where women blaze their skin

and turn the men inside and out

where monsters crawl with savage hips

ruby lips pursed in lush pouts

here where nothing's sacred

and sex is served with a hard edge

and all the ladies bared it

with the cruelest and the best

contrive to drink the sin

down with the morning glories

to tempt even the seraphim

devouring each and every story

Welcome to this Book of me

where I serve you orange crush

and eat the blossoms off your tree

in my sleek and sinuous rush

to shake revenge out of your bones

between my savage teeth

and grind you sweet against my stones

my epic bridal wreath

because you see I can't refrain

from drinking of your mind

moved to give you sweet champagne

off my creamy thighs

and serve you on this bed of love

in my book of fragrant days

to bury all my prayers and glove

between the rib's cliché

because you see that I'm no Eve

and you're no simple man

we've burned through every satin weave

while Leonard sang ‘Suzanne'

So welcome to this book of sex

for you to open on kiss

welcome to my glazed vortex

of tongues that wind and hiss

don't ever ask me for my love

don't ask me for my time

just pull me down from up above

take me raw, take me sublime

through your body and your soul

devour me refined

and permit me eat the book of you

as I feed you mine

originally penned in 2006 while roaming the net and observing the almost primal cerebral cannibalism between audiences and their focal point~ mind jumped to mythical Lilith ~ to Plath~ to women who are the embodiment of literature in one form or another~ it's original title was Welcome To This Book Of Me~ but in afterthought Lilith tasted better~

An incredibly powerful, near tongue in the cheek write! You weave so much with your words, cover the raw passion, the intermediate thought, the different dimensions between the sexes, control and submission.

You use ploys to draw your readers in, show them the theme and then let them work out the angles, as with the women who use words to show their strengths! I swear you have a wand instead instead of a pen and - work magic!

Hello Selene,

Bravo. You have a talent to open the eyes of your readers and to place them on this magical carpet. You take them over and through words like a rollercoaster at a themepark. It's a ride I want to go one many times.

Regards,

Matthew

The words we bleed, that we pour from our souls are really self defining, more so often than the words we speak... so that what we write can be far more revealing than what we say... and how powerful and mesmerizing the book of you is, so many facets and shades in your complexities, so that every taste is different, every view one never seen before...

I got the sense in the spicy sexy hard-edge second and third sections, of the lines veering back and forth between tighter song rhythm/rhyme and looser free verse. Because the lines are thoroughly enthralling, that's just an observation. As one who likes blurring distinctions, the blurring is a statement in itself. Flip a coin re tighter song form or blurring into free verse.

Lilith really picks up a head of steam for me in the last two sections:

"Welcome to this Book of me/where I serve you orange crush/and eat the blossoms off your tree/in my sleek and sinuous rush/to shake revenge out of your bones/between my savage teeth/and grind you sweet against my stones/my epic bridal wreath/because you see I can't refrain/from drinking of your mind/moved to give you sweet champagne/off my creamy thighs/and serve you on this bed of love/in my book of fragrant days/to bury all my prayers and glove/between the rib's cliché/because you see that I'm no Eve/and you're no simple man/we've burned through every satin weave/while Leonard sang ‘Suzanne'"

These lines feel addressed to yours truly personally. Particularly since singing "Suzanne" was an earlier part of my performance repertoire (rendered w/a Richie Havens-like warm grit), including other Leonard tunes and writing in that vein. These lines feel like home.

"So welcome to this book of sex/for you to open on kiss/welcome to my glazed vortex/of tongues that wind and hiss/don't ever ask me for my love/don't ask me for my time/just pull me down from up above/take me raw, take me sublime/
through your body and your soul/devour me refined/and permit me eat the book of you/as I feed you mine"

This poem is a sublime testament from the Goddess of Desire, the play of life, a Lilith identified as the wised-up truth of the dance, no doubt merely the flip-side of Eve, since Eden's allegory, and the Gnostics invert the Serpent to simple instruction, pointing out Jehovah is a false God, a Demiurge bully-boy.

This Lilith is already the boon companion to the wised-up Lover.

Pure fierce-edged celebration.

philosophical and grecian desires, set to a lustful, raw, enticing,
tantalyzing backdrop, wine, and ruby stained lips, the sweetest taste
and each page of the book is a stroke of fingers across the skin.
pure and invigarating artwork, every thing about the poem precipitates music.
absolutely divine and sensuous, loved it.

I think this is absolutely amazing and its going in my favorites. The flow, the imagery, the many parts of the sexes, the passion and rhythm. Very amazing

mind-bending wordplay and scintillating imagery served raw and sensuous and deadly. You are quite the observer, kitten, seeing so deeply into the wrinkles of humanity, that you absorb life, drench it with the beauty and the knowledge of your quicksilver mind, and spill it back to us upon a page of red silk sonnets and songs that enchant and delight, and provoke thought, sight, and awareness.

I loved this write as well...I sensed arrogance in this, as well as
strength, dominitrix style...your writing style reminds me of
myself...and I thought I was unique LOL! You take us on this
mind numbing mystery that us as the readers can't get enough,
and then when we thought you were through, you would taunt
us some more....yes, we seem to have a lot in common...

Very passionate, vivid writing; almost hypnotic in the way it grabs and sustains attention.

the poem is riveting.

but then i had to do a search on the leonard song..

"and you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.. and you know that you can trust her for she's touched your perfect body with her mind"

yeh, that's me.
