Cerulean China~

Cerulean China~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

For the Chartre blue plate

Geisha carved a hummingbird from a saffron pear;

Thick daffodil syrup cambered her wrists

This cyan morning

She left a trail of succulent evidence

On the cutting board

A rattle of poppies spilling cerulean seeds

On the viridian tiles

Moist Prussian blue lips

Above the steam

Coiling from the tea cup

Sapphire liquor

Reflecting her peacock eyes

She carried the tray

Through the mahogany doorway

Where forty lashes were a vacation

His heave ho

A totter in folds of skin

Her samurai gone to rot

In dice games with the cobalt eyes

She folded her knees

Teal dew on her eyelashes

Poured cerulean china

Into each ammonite cup

She left a trail of succulent evidence

In the burgundy blood

That poured itself from each orifice

Of each amethyst demon

Behind a mahogany door

Where forty lashes were a vacation

Your soul has root tendrils reaching out in all directions drinking of the non-duality tha surrounds us. Maya clouds not your eyes as you seek out and grasp the next word for each line. Camber? Really? Your mind amazes me. The rich texture of colors painted reminds of the geisha dress but contrasts with the white and red on her face. The raw emotion and punch in the gut we get from the line where forty lashes was a vacation and the trail of burgundy blood... Sometimes I get exhausted by the end of one of your poems (in a good way mind you) this was definitely one.
Brava!

I'm there in one. I like the movement and images. Cyan, Cerulean and . . . got burdonsome in 2. I Fell in love with you in 3. 40 lashes ruins it for me. I was with you God Damn and you had to leave me. Titrate down. 4. Again provocative, goo oood, pleasing really. 5 on the solid side. 6. forty really becomes disturbing.

This was moonlit elegance, tender ceramic longing of beauty and sensual imagery. I loved this, darling, it was just too beautiful for me to express~

An astonishing synaesthetic meditation, soul colors dripping w/emotive resonance, laced/lashed w/blood.

The refrain, double-meaning of "succulent evidence" -- "hummingbird from a saffron pear" to "burgundy blood that poured itself from each orifice" -- leaves a delicate yet indelible emotional sting.

This forty lash vacation painted in moody blues and burgundy is pure supernatural embodiment in art.

i can see and hear the seeds spilling...i do love your colourations...as a painter, i have exact mental pictures as each new hue rolls from your literary tongue...the repitition is well placed in that it culminates as a lethal last line in another exercise of your artistic muscle x

I love the depth of your story telling, the need to know, the need to place yourself in her shoes and feel the pain, wonderfully expressed as always......

AH, I can't wait 'til you finish this. This is going to be awesome, but what more should we expect? You are most definitely one of the poets that inspire me, and I am happy to be able to read your work. I feel like the rest of the world is missing out on something divine whenever you post here and I mock them in their ignorance of this heaven wrapped in words derived from a place which we can only imagine being. Awesome work, yet again, goddess. Glad to see you up and running.

This made me very sad, with a desire to unlock the mysteries within the words. I could feel the emotion behind the descriptive colors. Really beautiful- as always.
